I’m not sure how open I can be on a public forum. Are there any protections in place?

Wisegate has taken several steps to reduce disclosure risk for members and their companies.

  1. Wisegate limits access to the site – it's private and not open to the public. Members must be invited and verified in order to join, and only senior IT professionals are approved. No vendors are allowed on the site, not even IT professionals who work for vendor companies.

  2. Our Member Agreement includes several privacy-related terms and conditions that members must agree to before they can join:

    • Our Code of Conduct includes terms such as agreeing not to disclose confidential company information on the site.
    • Our Community Non-Disclosure terms require that members agree to treat information on the site as confidential and not disclose information to third parties.
    • Our Personal Disclaimer Policy asks members to agree that their words are their own, and not their employers' (which is becoming a common social media policy for many corporations).
  3. We have built an extra layer of controls into the site. For example:

    • Members can edit their reviews or delete their comments at any time.
    • Members do our best policing. When they are suspicious of the motivations behind something that's been posted, they can highlight the questionable content.
